Heinävesi West and South

Village landscapes and the tranquility of nature.

In the western part of Heinävesi, winding and hilly village roads, lush shoreline landscapes, and patches of fields amidst the forests create an excellent environment for hikers who seek pure nature and tranquility. The villages host small events, warmly welcoming travelers to join. The Jyrkylinjoki River and the Kaidankoski Rapids offer challenges for paddlers. For those seeking a more substantial water journey, there are opportunities to enjoy Kolovesi National Park and the Pyyli area by paddling or hiking. Accommodations are offered by local cottage rentals and the Säynämö Camp Center.
